Senior Logistics Manager

• Construction Logistics Group are looking for an experienced Senior Logistics Manager / Site Manager to oversee logistics operations on a major construction project
• Responsible for the strategic coordination of site logistics, team leadership and operational planning
• Acting as a key link between the client, subcontractors and the CLG site team
• Leading daily logistics operations to ensure safe, efficient and organised site activity
• Supporting the client’s project team through strong operational management and communication

• Professional and proactive when dealing with clients and subcontractors
• Able to make decisions quickly and solve problems in a fast-paced site environment

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning and coordination of daily site logistics operations
• Review delivery schedules and manage late delivery amendments and site logistics planning
• Prepare daily briefing sheets and allocate tasks across the CLG site team
• Liaise with client teams, subcontractors and site operatives to ensure smooth site operations
• Monitor site activities and proactively resolve operational challenges
• Manage site deliveries and logistics systems, ensuring efficient movement of materials and equipment
• Oversee site consumables and materials management
• Coordinate crane activities alongside the Appointed Person / Lifting Supervisor
• Maintain regular communication with both site teams and office teams regarding operations and progress

Health & Safety Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for health and safety across site logistics operations
• Ensure compliance with HSE procedures, RAMS and CLG site rules
• Review and update fire plans, exit routes and safety signage where required
• Conduct regular site inspections of compounds, laydown areas and working zones
• Prepare and submit CLG Health & Safety reports and recommend improvements where required

Team Leadership & Communication

• Lead and supervise Logistics Managers, Supervisors and site operatives
• Provide guidance, mentorship and performance feedback to site teams
• Attend daily site meetings and coordination briefings with the client team
• Monitor subcontractor activities and document progress where required
• Ensure all client communications are actioned, communicated and escalated appropriately

Candidate Requirements

• Extensive experience in construction site logistics or site management
• VCA VOL certification (or equivalent) required
• Strong leadership experience managing site teams and logistics operations
• Excellent organisational, planning and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors and internal teams
• Experience managing complex construction environments and multiple priorities
