The project consisted of works from ground floor to Level 12 and was carefully coordinatedto ensure safe, efficient, and minimally disruptive operations throughout the project lifecycle.
All labour activities were sequenced and managed in alignment with the programme milestones, with clear allocation of responsibilities and controlled access routes. A dedicated consolidation centre was utilised to receive, inspect, and distribute materials and consumables, reducing on-site congestion and improving delivery efficiency. Waste management procedures included segregated collection points on each level and scheduled removal to maintain a clean and compliant working environment.
Comprehensivesite set-up measures included the establishment of designated welfare facilities, including site offices, rest areas, and clearly identified toilet provisions for operatives.
Temporary works were designed, installed, and regularly inspected to support construction activities safely, while protection measures were implemented across all working areas. This included full protection of the entire glass façade and all lobby areas to prevent damage and maintain the integrity of existing finishes. Floor, wall, and access protection systems were installed throughout circulation routes from ground floor to Level 12.
All logistics operations were planned to ensure safe vertical transportation of materials and labour, with defined routes andlifting strategies. This approach prioritised safety, cleanliness, and minimal disruption to adjacent occupied areas, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and project-specific requirements.
Challenges
A key challenge on this project was staying ahead of the main works to ensure eachfloor, from ground level to Level 12, was fully protected and construction-ready prior to subcontractor mobilisation. This required tightlycoordinated labour, early deployment of temporary works, and just-in-timedelivery of materials and consumables via the consolidation centre.
Dedicated teams progressed floor-by-floor installing full protection to the glass façade, lobby areas, and all access routes, alongside setting up waste management points and essential site welfare, including designated toilets. By preparing each level in advance, the works were handed over in a controlled, safe, and ready state, enabling subcontractors to commence immediately, reducing delays, minimising risk of damage, and maintaining programme efficiency.
