The project has full power secured for 90MW. Building 1 (20MW) is fully operational with four data halls, and Building 2 (70MW)
Building 2 will be one of the world’s largest living walls. Over 750,000 plants will wrap around to reduce noise and air pollution, as well as encourage bio diversity of insects and birds next to Brent Reservoir’s Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
Challenges
Delivering a project of this scale in a dense urban environment presented complex logistical challenges, including constrained access routes, proximity to environmentally sensitive areas, and the coordination of high-volume material deliveries for alive and expanding campus.
Additionally, maintaining operational continuity for Building 1 while constructing Building 2 demanded strict traffic management, safety controls, and minimised disruption. Compliance with sustainability targets, including zero waste to landfill andlow-emission fuel usage, also required meticulous planning and monitoring across the supply chain.
Approach
Construction Logistics Group delivered a comprehensive end-to-end logistics solution tailored to the campus. This included strategic logistics planning, consolidation centre operations, and just-in-time delivery scheduling to reduce congestion and emissions.
Advanced vehicle booking systems and traffic marshalling ensured efficient site access andminimal disruption to surrounding areas. Waste management services supported the project’s zero-waste-to-land fill certification through segregation, tracking, and recycling initiatives, while sustainability-focused practices aligned with HVO fuel usage and environmental goals.
On-site logistics coordination, labour and materials handling, and safety management ensured seamless integration between operational and construction phases, enabling the project to progress efficiently while meeting its ambitious sustainability and scale objectives.
