Glomfjord 2.2 represents the second phase of a data centre fit-out project. Our role has been to ensure the safe movement of pedestrians to, from, and around the site, while also facilitating efficient and well-managed delivery operations.
Beyond the data centre itself, the project includes office, accommodation, and welfare support facilities, all of which require safe access and connectivity. Client branding has been a key focus throughout, with a high level of visibility both requested and successfully delivered.
Challenges
The project’s remote location required precise procurement planning and accurate quantification of materials and equipment to ensure a seamless site setup. Additionally, being situated within the Arctic Circle, adverse weather conditions can significantly impact deliveries and resource movement — a factor that was quickly identified and carefully managed.
Approach
Through thorough planning and close collaboration with local teams, we developed a strong understanding of both the environmental conditions and infrastructure. This enabled us to proactively address challenges and maintain operational efficiency.
